Use the controls in the top left to pan and zoom the map. For best effect you should zoom in until the pins are clearly separated, then click on a pin to see date, time and location coordinates.		Use the controls in the top right to change the type of map. If you use Windows XP you can view this map in 3D by downloading the Google Earth plugin to your browser. Blue pins are OK msgs. Red pins are HELP msgs.

The group were taking part in the Abbotts Way Walk when they came across a party of walkers, 2 of whom were exhausted after being soaked in a swollen river in atrocious weather conditions. They summoned help via the GEOS control centre by pressing the 999 button on their SPOT satellite messenger whilst those members of the Dartmoor Rescue Group present in the locality coordinated a well executed helicopter evacuation in very poor visibility. The walkers are not thought to have suffered any long term harm.
