Your family and friends’ peace of mind is enhanced by the ease with which they can just click on an email and see your location pinpointed to within a few metres on a Google map within seconds of the message being received by satellite ground stations around the world. And of course anybody with your account username and password can access your messages together in time sequence in your account on the SPoT website and select your whole route for display on Google Maps. The visual impact of Google Maps with their easy pan and zoom functions contrasts perfectly with the stark simplicity of the data presented in message text boxes next to each pinpoint. - time, location, HELP or OK - that’s SPoT in a nutshell total reassurance. All locations are in decimal latitude/longitude coordinates eg 52.267,-2.567 which can be translated to Ordnance Survey grid references by entering them into the relevant boxes below and clicking GO.
